Torrance, CA — Lycoming Service Instruction No. 1009AW (February 24, 2014) eliminates the previous 2200 time-between-overhaul (TBO) requirement that specified engines be used in “frequent” service, defined as 40 hours or more per month. 

Lycoming Eliminates “Frequent” Use Requirement on 2200 TBO for Robinson Helicopters

Torrance, CA — Lycoming Service Instruction No. 1009AW (February 24, 2014) eliminates the previous 2200 time-between-overhaul (TBO) requirement that specified engines be used in “frequent” service, defined as 40 hours or more per month. The Service Instruction extends the engine overhaul period from 2000 to 2200 hours without restrictions, and applies only to Lycoming engines built to specifications for and installed in Robinson helicopters.

UK Helicopters on final for getting back in the Air

Just a Screenshot from our Workshop this evening with the two little Perls: G-JBII nd G-HUBA. Both are R22 Beta´s. JBII is getting the last run of Mainrotorbalaning, and HUBA is getting a fresh 100h Inspection for the change of Registration. The Registration is finalized today....
Both little perls have to be finalized latestly tomorrow, as a Enstrom 280FX is on its way for tomorrow for heavy maintenance and our Robinson R44 Clipper comes back from the Painter in a breathtaking R66 paintscheme after Bladdertank installation....Puh...much to do!!!
But we love to be busy ;-)

Robinson Introduces Glass Avionics

Torrance, CA — Robinson Helicopter Company is introducing a new line of instrument panels and avionics for the R22, R44, and R66. The new line includes, as optional equipment, Garmin’s GTN 600/700 touch-screen navigators, as well as Aspen Avionics’ Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multifunction Display (MFD) systems. Garmin’s GTR 225B COM radio, GMA 350H audio panel, GDL 88 universal access transceiver (UAT), and GTX 330ES transponder are also available. Robinson completed FAA flight tests and received approval for most of the new equipment and is in the final stages of certification for a few remaining combinations.

Spindlebearing replacement R22/R44 Robinson

We are proud to inform everybody, that we from now on as well approved to install and certify Spindlebearing replacement of the MR Blade spindles for Robinson R44/R22. We are able to replace the Spindlebearings in one day, as we store the parts ready to install yat your blades in our Service Center.

N-Registration possible...from now on!

We are proud to annoince, that we are now working together with a DER/DAR from the american FAA to get Aircraft certified under the very popular N-registration. He is performing the necessary inspections and maintenance. He is as well able to perform all the paperwork and get the certification of the FAA by a approved Inspector from the FAA.
